The skill, discipline, and patriotism of our Army have brought honor to India on the global stage,” he added.

General Upendra Dwivedi, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), also conveyed his wishes, underlining the Army’s crucial role in ensuring a secure and stable environment for India’s progress towards its vision of Viksit Bharat (Developed India).

“Our commitment remains unwavering. Each soldier of the Indian Army stands resolute in confronting security challenges at the borders and in the hinterland. We remain steadfast in assisting civil authorities, providing humanitarian aid, undertaking disaster relief, and contributing to nation-building initiatives,” he stated.

General Dwivedi noted the dynamic nature of the security landscape and the evolving character of warfare, announcing the continuation of the Army’s “Decade of Transformation.” He also declared 2025 as the “Year of Technology Absorption,” with a focus on integrating advanced technologies into warfighting systems, enhancing agility, and achieving self-reliance under the Atmanirbharta initiative.

“The Indian Army’s relentless efforts in maintaining readiness, excelling in operational domains, and ensuring the safety and well-being of citizens under all circumstances are commendable. This legacy reflects the indomitable spirit and professionalism of our forces,” General Chauhan said.

He also addressed the rapidly evolving nature of warfare, driven by advancements in technology and shifting geopolitical dynamics. Highlighting emerging domains like cyber, space, and cognitive arenas, he spoke about integrating new-age technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, robotics, hypersonic systems, and data-centric warfare to prepare for future challenges.
